LALT Presents Rosencrantz & Guildenstern

Los Alamos Little Theatre celebrates the 50th Anniversary of Tom Stoppard’s
Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead
directed by John Cullinan
produced by John Gustafson
7:30 pm Fridays and Saturdays, April 28 – May 13
2:00 pm Sunday, May 7

Starring Don Monteith as Rosencrantz, Trisha Werner as Guildenstern, Jess Cullinan as the Player, Patrick Webb as Hamlet, with Zachary Brounstein, Ian Foti-Landis, Alex L’Esperance, Alexis Perry, and Stuart Rupprecht as the Tragedians. The funniest tragedy ever written! Two minor characters from Shakespeare’s Hamlet stumble around unaware of their scripted lives and unable to deviate from them. Acclaimed as a modern masterpiece, Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead is a fabulously inventive tale told from the worm’s-eye view of the bewildered Rosencrantz and Guildenstern. In Tom Stoppard’s best-known work, this Shakespearean Laurel and Hardy finally get a chance to take the lead role, but do so in a world where echoes of Waiting for Godot resound, and where fate leads our two heroes to a tragic but inevitable end.
