“The Other Place” Returns to Los Alamos

The Other Place, by Sharr White, returns to Los Alamos for two more weekends at the Performing Arts Center. Performances are Friday and Saturday March 10, 11, 17, and 18 at 7:30pm, along with a Sunday Matinee on March 12 at 2:00pm.

The Other Place is a compelling drama that centers on Juliana Smithton, a successful neurologist whose life seems to be coming unhinged. Her husband has filed for divorce and her daughter has eloped with a much older man. And just as her research leads to a potential breakthrough, events take a disorienting turn. During a lecture to colleagues at an exclusive beach resort, she glimpses an enigmatic young woman in a yellow bikini amidst the crowd of business suits. But in this brilliantly crafted work, nothing is as it seems. One step at a time, a mystery unravels as contradictory evidence, blurred truth and fragmented memories collide in a cottage on the windswept shores of Cape Cod.
