Auditions: God Of Carnage – Oct 22 & 23

Auditions for our January 2018 production, GOD OF CARNAGE, will be held at the Performing Arts Center (1670 Nectar St) on Sunday Oct. 22 at 2pm and Monday Oct. 23 at 7pm.  Actors should prepare a short 2-3 minute monologue of their choosing, or select one of the suggested monologues below.  Memorization is not necessary, but the actor must be sufficiently familiar with the monologue to present a dramatic interpretation.

Synopsis: A playground altercation between eleven-year-old boys brings together two sets of Brooklyn parents for a meeting to resolve the matter. At first, diplomatic niceties are observed, but as the meeting progresses, and the rum flows, tensions emerge and the gloves come off, leaving the couples with more than just their liberal principles in tatters.

Play Reading – God of Carnage

Join us Wednesday October 11 at 7:00pm for a play reading of God of Carnage by Yasmina Reza.  God of Carnage, winner of the 2009 Tony Award for Best Play, will be LALT’s January 2018 production.  The play will be directed by Paul Lewis and produced by John Gustafson.  Auditions will be held on October 22 and 23, with call-backs on Oct 25.  Cast 2 men, 2 women
