God Of Carnage Opens This Weekend

Los Alamos Little Theatre’s production of God Of Carnage, by Yasmina Reza, opens this weekend at the Performing Arts Center, 1670 Nector St. in Los Alamos. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30pm through January 27, along with a 2:00pm matinee on January 21.

God of Carnage is a comedy about manners … without the manners.  It opened on Broadway in 2009 and won the Tony award that year for Best Play.  In the play a playground altercation between eleven-year-old boys brings together two sets of Brooklyn parents for a meeting to resolve the matter. At first, diplomatic niceties are observed, but as the meeting progresses, and the rum flows, tensions emerge and the gloves come off, leaving the couples with more than just their liberal principles in tatters.

Tickets are available at CB Fox, online at Brown Paper Tickets, or at the door.   You can read the preview at the LA Daily Post and listen to our interview on KRSN.
