LALT will hold an open play reading of the Neil Simon farce “Rumors” at 7 pm Tuesday, July 24. The reading will be in the Green Room of the Performing Arts Center, 1670 Nectar Street. The reading is free and open to all, whether you wish to join in the reading or just sit back and listen.

The Los Alamos Little Theatre Board of Directors at its July meeting assigned areas of responsibility to designated Board members. Any interested LALT member can help support the theatre’s efforts in these several areas of responsibility, which have been organized as:
– Building Maintenance
– Grounds Maintenance
– Tech Systems
– Production Support
– Stage and Set Support
– Building Supplies
In the area of Publicity, a committee has formed to undertake a coordinated, season-wide publicity effort for LALT. Anyone who is interested in providing support to such areas as graphics, program design, considerations for where to invest on advertising, promoting ad sales for LALT programs or to just provide creative thoughts on how to improve LALT’s visibility in the community should contact John Gustafson at email@example.com

Los Alamos Little Theatre members gathered for a work party Saturday, July 14 to perform maintenance on the grounds around the Performing Arts Center. LALT manages the PAC for Los Alamos County and is responsible for upkeep on some aspects of the building and grounds. The LALT team trimmed trees, pulled weeds, laid down wire mesh to prevent skunks from burrowing under the building, and replaced 16 old, degraded railroad ties that were part of the landscaping. LALT Board member Dave Olivas organized the work party and his wife, Mary Lou, provided lunch for the volunteer workers.

LALT will hold two work parties this summer to get the building and grounds in shape for our 75th anniversary season. Please come out and help if you can.
The first work party will be held on Saturday July 14th, starting at 9:00am, and will focus on the exterior of the PAC. The work party will include removal of dead trees, pruning of branches, removal of weeds, and general landscaping.
The second work party will be held on Saturday August 11th, and will focus on the interior of the PAC. Work will be targeted on cleanup of the prop room and the costume area, in addition to general maintenance tasks. Emphasis will be placed on maintaining emergency egress lanes in the PAC
