LALT is hosting a theater lighting workshop open to anyone who wants to learn how to set, design, and run lights during a live theater performance. The class will be held from 1-6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10 at the PAC, 1670 Nectar St. Workshop is free donations are welcome.
Participants will learn the basics of theater lighting with lighting expert Hadley Hershey, who has worked extensively with the lighting equipment at LALT as well as at various theaters as a professional lighting technician.
Workshop topics include understanding lighting fixtures, operating the lighting control board, programming light cues, hanging positions, and basic light plot creation. The course will be hands-on.
By the end of the workshop, participants will know how to operate stage lights in the PAC for any of its productions.
