The Los Alamos Little Theatre is excited to announce auditions for its November production of Love, Loss, and What I Wore. The show, written by Nora and Delia Ephron and directed by Terry Beery, includes roles for 7 female-presenting actors as well as a small singing opportunity at the start of each show. A reading will be held before auditions to allow interested actors a chance to hear/read the show and get to know the characters. Copies of the script are available for perusal in both the Los Alamos and White Rock public libraries. The reading and all auditions, including callbacks, will take place in the Green Room of the Los Alamos Performing Arts Center (aka Little Theatre, 1670 Nectar St in Los Alamos). Important dates are listed below.
Tuesday, August 20 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.: Table reading of the play with light refreshments provided.
Thursday, August 22 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.; Saturday, August 24 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.: Auditions. Actors should expect to read sides from the show. People interested in singing (whether auditioning as actors or not) should attend one of the audition times and prepare ~20 seconds of vocal music. A capella is preferred, but performers may use a karaoke/backing track on their phone for accompaniment or provide sheet music.
NOTE: Singers who are not available for each show performance are still eligible to participate and are encouraged to audition.
Tuesday, August 27 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.: Call-backs (if needed).
Show Dates/Times: November 1, 2, 8, 9, 15, 16 at 7:30 p.m.; November 10 at 2:00 p.m.
